With the pandemic taking over most of 2020, I missed out on something that brings me a lot of joy; going to the movies! Seeing movies with friends and family was always a fun outing, and a nice distraction from our lives. Many movies that were set to release last year were delayed, and few were released through streaming platforms. We can only hope that we can soon return to the cinema, so that we can reunite with loved ones, and smell that movie popcorn again. Regardless of the COVID-19 restrictions, there are still some great movies set to release this year. Let’s dive in!Raya and the Last DragonComing March 5th, Disney presents their first animated film of the year, following Disney-Pixar’s “Soul” last holiday season. In this film, our main character Raya attempts to track down the last dragon in the fantasy world of Kumandra, and rid the world of evil monsters known as the Druun. This film is rated PG, and is available only on Disney + with “Premier Access.” This means you’ll have to pay an additional $30.00 aside from a subscription to Disney +, so make sure you’ve got your whole family watching to make the steep price worth it! Along with its December release date, the movie will also be set during the holiday season. The film is rated PG-13, and follows 2019’s Spiderman: Far From Home.
