Simple But Fun Activities To Inspire You This Summer

Summer is here! If you're anything like me, the first bit of summer is freeing until you get to a point where you almost get in a rut with your new free time. Boredom starts to creep in and you start to think "I'm supposed to be having fun!" You might need to re-inspire yourself to get back in the happy groove of summer. Here is my advice on how to get inspired this summer:

1.

Try new recipes.

There's no need to buy a cookbook. There are free recipes all over the internet for just about anything you can imagine. Pinterest and Tik Tok are some good places to look but if you're looking for something in particular, the google search engine will not disappoint. Some recipes that I'll be trying this summer are homemade popsicles, lemon desserts, and copycat Starbucks drinks.

2.

Go to the library.

I recently rediscovered that libraries are the coolest and I have no idea why I haven't been using them for such a long time. Whether you're trying to learn about something new, find another book series to obsess over, rent out DVDs, or find out about fun local events or programs, the library could be your new go-to place. And the best part is it's free (if everything is returned on time in good condition).

3.

Travel Somewhere New.

Going somewhere new always gives me a little spark of inspiration. Even if it's just going to a new place to eat, going to a farmers market that I haven't been to, or even going to the town next door, these places inspire me to get out more and try new things. Keep your eye out for events or places that spark your interest and actually make yourself go. Sometimes the hardest part is walking out of the door but once you get to your destination, it's all worth it.

Don't feel the need to follow my advice. These are just some ideas to get the ball rolling. Ultimately, it's summer! Enjoy your vacation and your time off from school in whatever way you feel is relaxing, inspiring, and fun
